Get on your bike or get on the track

The Big Ride 2018 was our best ride yet, with nearly 500 riders cycling and running over a collective 100,000 kilometres, across Ireland and Denver. The riders raised nearly €1.3 million, helping thousands in Africa have a brighter future.

Avid cyclists and runners in Europe spent over 7,000 hours in the wind, rain and shine over two days on routes ranging from 50km to 160km per day. Some swapped a day in the saddle for a day pounding the dirt on the half marathon.

Following the great success of The Big Ride for Africa in 2018 we are delighted to announce the new venue and dates for 2019.  We will be setting up basecamp on the northern edge of the beautiful Eifel National Park, a low mountain range in Germany, North Rhine-Westphalia, which extends into Belgium and Luxembourg.

I can't begin to explain how I feel now that the event has finished. The experience will remain with me for a long time, and I hope I can be a part of the Big Ride for Africa next year."

Our corporate heroes

The Big Ride is designed so corporates and their employees can give back. We’ve enjoyed fantastic support from companies like Accenture, Cartesian, Deloitte, Scotiabank, and Technicolor among many others.
