Big Ride for Africa

Castlemartin Stud Farm, Ireland 20th - 21st June 2018

Join us on the Big Ride for an incredible challenge, whatever your sporting ability, and to fundraise to help Lessons for Life give children a chance of a better life. Education changes everything.

Get on your bike or get on the track

The Big Ride 2017 was our best ride yet, with 420 riders cycling and running over a collective 80,000 kilometres, climbing over 1 million metres across Cologne and Denver. The riders raised nearly €1.2 million, helping thousands in Africa have a brighter future.

Avid cyclists and runners in Europe climbed over a million metres choosing from one and two day options ranging from 50km to 160km per day. Some swapped a day in the saddle for a day pounding the dirt on the half marathon. It was our hottest ride to date with temperatures reaching 31C!

Following the great success of The Big Ride for Africa in 2017 we are delighted to announce the new venue and dates for 2018.  Thanks to the amazing generosity of John and Leslie Malone we will be setting up basecamp near Dublin in the beautiful surroundings of Castlemartin Stud Farm in County Kildare on the edge of the stunning and challenging Wicklow Mountains.

Sign up is now closed, visit our dedicated site to see how to get involved next year!

I can't begin to explain how I feel now that the event has finished. The experience will remain with me for a long time, and I hope I can be a part of the Big Ride for Africa next year."

Our corporate heroes
